 
         
        
           Here  is  a  border  tip  from  @thesilverschmidt  @saltcitysmithery  -  “To  get  a  perfectly  consistent  width  on  a  border  around  a  bezel  I  keep  wire  scraps  of  different  gauges  at  my  bench  to  use  as  a  guide  to  trace  around  the  bezel.  Swipe  to  see  a  video.  Place  the  wire  (make  sure  it’s  smooth  -  no  sharp  bends  or  kinks)  against  the  bezel  on  the  base  plate.  Use  a  fine  tip  Sharpie  marker  to  hold  the  wire  firmly  against  the  bezel  and  carefully  trace  around  the  bezel,  using  the  wire  as  your  guide.  The  smooth  wire  will  run  along  the  wall  of  the  bezel  allowing  the  marker  to  stay  at  a  consistent  distance  from  it.
Bonus  tip  -  beaded  wire  scrap  is  a  bit  easier  to  use  because  the  Sharpie  tip  stays  right  in  the  groove  between  beads,  but  you’ll  be  a  bit  more  limited  on  sizes:
Note,  this  works  best  for  bezel  shapes  that  are  smooth,  without  a  lot  of  indented  shapes.”  I  LOVE  THIS.
