The  Prong  Settingβ£β£

For  this  beginner  friendly  prong  setting  I  used  19g  (.90mm)  sterling  silver  wire.  These  will  work  harden  enough  to  be  suitable  for  earrings.  I  wouldnβt  recommend  for  a  ring  personally.  What  I  like  about  these  prongs  is  that  they  arenβt  about  precision,  they  are  quick  and  can  easily  be  made  in  an  afternoon.  They  also  donβt  require  a  ton  of  metal  making  them  cost  effective.  It  is  impossible  to  show  all  the  steps  in  a  1  minute  reel  so  if  you  have  questions  please  let  me  know.  I  used  a  Mooreβs  disc  and  a  silicone  wheel  to  shape  my  prongs  after  using  my  LindstrΓΆm  cutters  to  trim  them  back.
